What is parallel import and how does it work?
Parallel import (PI) is the importation of goods from other countries, also members of the EU, outside
the official channels of production and distribution.
PI is possible due to the difference in prices for identical pharmaceuticals between countries. Parallel
importers take advantage of this difference in prices, and are therefore able to offer their clients high
quality products at competitive prices.
